if you want to donate to paul's campaign, do so today, sunday commemorates the boston tea party, and it should be a pretty big event.

in other news, i have been listening to two really cool french artists... pilooski and sebastien tellier... i would highy reccomending going here and downloading this hour long mix that pilooski did for a radio show, its really cool and if you have to drive or ride the bus or train somewhere its tops for the ipod or the cd player...

i just woke up. have a great day, i'll do the same.

i can't deal.

yes he is, but he doesn't want to implement his views on the country. he thinks that its a state's right decision, since there is no talk of abortion in the constitution..

it's unfortunate that the term "prolife" now has negative connotations - who amongst us ISN'T in support of life? it's be great to retire this jingoist phrase and get to the heart of the matter: when does life begin? i doubt anyone can successfully argue that murder, except in self-defense (of property or life) is allowable, so the issue becomes incredibly heated. however, there are a great deal of libertarian thinkers that believe life does not begin until the severance of the umbilical cord, and therefor forcing a woman to carry to term is akin to slavery. on the other hand, there are plenty of other "left leaning" libertarians who believe otherwise (both men and women) and can not morally fathom the murder of a child. reference the analogy of a man stranded at sea who finds his way onto your ship. you are only responsible until you land and ensure his safe arrival; otherwise, your hands are clean.
on the other hand, every other candidate supports the wholesale slaughter of men, women an children in every corner of our empire; so who's worse?

i'm prochoice because i don't think the government, run mostly by men, has the right or need to control MY body.

i wish i had the patience to give more reasoning, but let's be honest, i've already had 2 sparks and my best friend from spain is in town.

bye.

good, then you, paul, a silent majority in american and i all agree that the state should not control an individual's body, regardless of the sex of the controller/controlled. of course, every other candidate is very much for strictly controlling your body, and not just what occurs with your reproductive system. inga muscio would be proud. fd&c yellow #5.
finally, before i go to bed, i thought that for the benefit of the two other people that may read .bcw's blog, i submit the following for digestion:
(1) he opposed FDA restrictions on RU-486 (the morning after pill)
(2) he voted against the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act that made it a federal crime to transport a minor across state boundaries to get an abortion, and
(3) he voted against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act that made it a federal crime to harm a fetus during the commission of a violent crime against a pregnant woman.

good night.
